For more than 50 years, the CSI Fine Arts Center has been a place for our community to gather, create, perform, and experience something memorable.
1968
Where it all began.
The Fine Arts Center began with a shared vision. The College of Southern Idaho and the Civic Auditorium Association came together after years of community dreams, planning, and work to create a home for education, theatre, and the arts in South Central Idaho.
When CSI opened its new Twin Falls campus in 1968, the Fine Arts Center was the very first building on it—a reflection of CSI founder Dr. James Taylor's belief that arts and culture should have a place at the heart of the college.
More than 50 years later, that vision still feels familiar. Students learn here. Artists create here. Audiences gather here. Community organizations bring their own events through our doors. The performances have changed, but the idea behind the building hasn't.
Built For This
There’s rarely a quiet day around here. Rehearsals spill onto stages, classes fill the halls, artwork takes shape, and audiences arrive for everything from student productions to touring performances.
Some people come here to learn. Some come to perform. Some come to watch. Others walk through our doors with an event of their own. Decades later, the Fine Arts Center is still doing exactly what it was built to do—bringing people together.
