Time: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

CSI Theater, Dance, and Art Department Present ANTIGONICK May 3, 4, and 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the CSI Fine Arts Theater Ancient Greece looks suspiciously similar to the present day in the hands of world-renowned poet and MacArthur Genius Anne Carson. Antigone has lost two brothers but by law can only bury one. She takes a stand for her beliefs, pitting morality against patriotism, and in doing so starts a series of events that threaten the new-found national peace. It’s one of the most famous myths of all, told and re-told for more than two thousand years, but what use is a cautionary tale if no one heeds it? The CSI Theater, Dance, and Visual Arts Department join creative forces to bring Carson’s biting and thrilling translation of Antigone to life in a production that casts unexpected shadows on issues of loyalty and family. Ttickets: $10/adults, $5/ high school students and free for CSI students. Tickets available at the CSI Box Office, by calling 732-6288, or online at tickets.csi.edu
